Scrapbook Pages at the Beach

Jill had a scrapbook retreat at the beach last weekend. I was there a couple of days to help her set up and to watch Bree. Thursday was absolutely gorgeous outside. I had to choose between playing on the beach with Bree or scrapbooking. It's not every day that I am in an oceanfront house, with Bree, and with nice weather.
I chose the beach!
The next day it rained, Bree was with her other grandmother, and I worked on my pages. These were the first 2 pages I finished. Yeah!

The next 2 pages show Bree having fun opening her gifts. I used the Cricut machine for the "1st" and for the balloons on the right.
I guess I should mention that these are pages in Bree's "Birth" Day Book. My plan is to make a four page spread for each birthday. I already had the "birth" pages done.

Birthday #2: There was a lot of water at Bree's 2nd birthday party. The colors for the pages are taken from her invitation. I used a Cricut machine to make the waves and the turquoise letters. I love the Cricut!
I'm glad Chris doesn't read my blog...I don't know that he would approve of this picture on the web. Oh well...it was for Bree!

CD Holders

I saw these cd holders on splitcoaststampers and had to make some. All of the stickers/accents are from retired Stampin' Up! Simply Scrappin Kits.
I used Today & Always and I'm Here-Girl kits on these two. I also stamped the green cd holder with a stamp from Baroque Motifs (one of my favorite stamps).

And here I used Winter Bright and Sparkling Holiday. I added some snowflakes stamped in white craft ink on the blue holder.
The cd holders are so easy to make. The folder is 5 1/2" x 10" folded in half. There is about 1/4" on the side that you fold and tape. I used the 1 3/8" circle punch at the top and then decorated with stickers from the scrapbook kits. That's it!

My Family

This is our Christmas Day 2007 picture. Bree was having a lot of fun helping Julie take this picture. Julie would set the timer (with Bree's help) and then they would run and get in place. And Bree would say "cheese." Aunt Becky would be so proud. We are so blessed to have a great photographer in the family. Needless to say, we have lots of pictures of Bree.
Check out Julie's blog and website to see more of her work.
